Tanzania is of course well-known for its wildlife and we would simply not complete our African adventure if we left without experiencing that wildlife. Therefore, on the assumption that after a good long shower, a few well-earned beers and a good night's rest we'll feel reinvigorated, we head off the day after our exertions on the mountain to enjoy some of the best wildlife the country has to offer on a 3-day safari taking in Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire River.

As with our climb this will be our private adventure with just the 2 of us, our guide/driver and a 4x4 to carry us about in. However, rather than continuing under canvass we have opted to spend a small amount more and to stay in lodges instead.

Although one could probably write pages on the history of the parks that information is widely available and we'll therefore concentrate more on our experience and sharing a selection of what we hope will be some fantastic photos.
